The Cottage of Four Winds carries a traditional design, and was originally designed especially for a coffee shop in Hanko, which carries the same name - The Cottage of Four Winds.

Finland's former president, C. G. E. Mannerheim founded the cafe during his retirement days and ordered the tableware from France - he fell in love with its traditional and simple design.
